Changde Homecoming

July 7 – July 15

This is a special year for Changde orphanage. An invitation is warmly extended from Changde Children Welfare Institute (CWI) to a homeland reunion activity jointly held by Bridge of Love Adoption Service (BLAS) and Changde CWI in July of the year 2010 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Changde CWI. The celebration is to have a special focus on children who have been adopted from Changde. It is hoped that, through this activity, your children will get closer to their first home – Changde CWI, get more familiar with their hometown – Changde’s local culture and Chinese tradition.

The activity includes a visit of the matching room at CCAA in Beijing, the culture classes at BLAS, a tour to the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven. Then fly to Changde where you will stay for about four days. The party in Changde will include a grand welcome ceremony for your children, a visit to the orphanage to learn about its development, meet caregivers, play with the kids in the orphanage, a taste of the local food and a tour to some scenic spots around the city. This is planned to be a special celebration for your children.

Bridge of Love Adoption Service and Changde Children Welfare Institute are looking forward to your coming and this reunion party! Bridge of Love Adoption Service will do a complete travel plan. Please put this special event on your personal radar.
