“Home in World, Roots in China, Love in Hefei”
Nov.20 – Nov.27
This is a special year for Hefei orphanage. An invitation is warmly extended from Hefei Children Welfare Institute (CWI) to a homeland reunion activity jointly held by Bridge of Love Adoption Service (BLAS) and Hefei CWI in November of the year 2010 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Hefei SWI and the move to the new, beautiful building where the children will have the best living conditions possible. The celebration is to have a special focus on children who have been adopted from Hefei. It is hoped that, through this activity, your children will get more familiar with Chinese tradition and their hometown – Hefei’s local culture.
The activity includes a visit of the matching room at CCAA in Beijing, the culture classes at BLAS, a tour to the Great Wall. Then on to Hefei where you will stay for about four days. The party in Hefei will include a grand welcome ceremony for your children, a visit to the orphanage to learn about its development, and a trip to the countryside. This is planned to be a special celebration for your children.
*There also will be an optional extension to travel to the famous Scenic Spot Yellow Mountain (Huangshan) which is connected by a new high way to Hefei. If you are interested in this section, please make a mark on the registration form.
