On the morning of May 4, 2010, 15 Chinese children adopted by Dutch families came to visit BLAS accompanied by their adoptive parents.

With great enthusiasm the adopted children and the adoptive parents enjoyed the roots-seeking photo exhibition of the adoptive families in the working area of BLAS. In the training room, the “teachers” from BLAS, with great patience, taught the adopted children to write with a Chinese brush and to sing Chinese songs. Through training, the children learnt how to write the Chinese characters “Fu” (happiness) and “Ai” (love) with a brush and how to sing the Chinese song “the little swallow”. The culture class received quite favorable comments by both the adoptive parents and the adopted children.

During the next days, these adoptive families will go to the birth places of the adopted children for roots-seeking visit with the help and arrangements of BLAS and these adopted children will enter the welfare institutes where they lived before to further experience affection and enjoy the culture.
