July 13 afternoon, 44 persons from 12 adoptive families from USA, Canada, UK and Holland visited BLAS.This is another root-seeking tour group of different countries arranged and received by BLAS in this summer. Escorted by the working staff of BLAS, Adoptive families visited the business offices in CCAA to know about the procedures for foreign adoption in China. Families also took two cultural classes designed and taught by BLAS. In the geology class, the working staff introduced geological information of China through interacitve games. Under the instruction, the children drawed the map of China and marked where their hometown was. In the calligraphy class, the working staff taught the historical origin and evolution of Chinese characters. Children learned to write Chinese characters ‘Fu’(blessings) and ‘Ai’(love). Both adoptive parents and children spoke highly of the cutural class.
The tour in Beijing for these 12 adoptive families will come to an end today and they will leave for different provinces for the next part of their root-seeking tour.
