On the afternoon of June 26, Bridge of Love Adoption Services (BLAS) welcomed Adoptive families Root-seeking Group, which is formed by fifteen American families. Accompanied by staff members from Bridge of Love Adoption Services, adoptive families first visited the office area of China Center of Adoption Affairs, to understand the procedure of foreign-related adoption in China. Later on, in the training room of Bridge of Love Adoption Services, staff from Bridge of Love Adoption Services had a special interactive activity with adopted children. Under staff’s careful instruction, the children learned about the origin of Chinese characters, got to know the Chinese nation’s mother river – the birthplace of the yellow River and the channels it flows through, studied the customs of their own hometowns, and also learned how to write Chinese character “Fu (which means good fortune)” and “Ai (which means love)” by Chinese writing brush. At last, Xiao Lei Liu, the deputy director of China Center of Adoption Affairs, who is also the director of Bridge of Love Adoption Services, presented the gift to adoptive families, and wished adoptive families happiness. This root-seeking Group is organized by Bridge of love Adoption Services and American Holt International Children Services.
