The Roots seeking Group organized by BLAS and Dillon International arrived in Beijing
on June 4th of 2009, and adoption families will have 14 days roots seeking trip in China.
Since June of 2006, the first time our BLAS cooperates with Dillon International on Roots
Seeking trip project, this is the third year that BLAS receives and arranges this kind of
trip for adoption families from this Adoption Organization.
Beijing is the families first stop. During their stay in Beijing, children and their adoptive
parents took part in various activities in BLAS, which included writing calligraphy, paper
folding, Jigsaw puzzle and painting Peking Opera mask. Families also visited the Summer
Palace and other interesting places in Beijing. By these activities, children fully felt the
colourful Chinese traditional culture and appreciate the style and features of the ancient
capital.
In order to prevent the attack from H1N1 flu virus and to ensure the group’s security,
BLAS made a careful preparation and arrangement on precautions against the flu virus.
We also carried specific training for the reception personnel before the group arrival in
China, and took preventive measures to the oversea adoptive families who attend this
trip in advance.
At present, under the arrangement of BLAS, adoptive families have gone to different
provinces and they will go on their next stage roots seeking trip.
