On sunny March 20, the foreign adoptive families on their root-seeking tour to China have traveled the well-known Slender West Lake in Yangzhou by boat to experience the nature beauty of Yangzhou scenery and its rich cultural traditions. After that, they also visited Guandong Style Street, which is famous for its rich folk customs characteristics.
In the evening, a grand farewell dinner was hold in a hotel banquet hall. Yuxin Wang, vice mayor of Yangzhou City, Min Gu, director of Bureau of Civil Affair, Aiping Liu, director of Yangzhou Child Welfare Institute and some staff had attended the dinner. They said goodbye reluctantly to the foreign adoptive families who would finish their root-seeking tour very soon. BLAS Staffs who participated in this root-seeking event bid farewell to each adoptive family, wished them the best, and hoped them could come to China for root-seeking tour again.
The representatives of adoptive families from the United States, Denmark, and the Netherlands expressed heartfelt thanks to the government of Yangzhou city, Bridge of Love Adoption Services, and Yangzhou Child Welfare Institute on the great job they have done for the root-seeking tour. Paul, an adoptive father from the Netherlands said they were very happy to attend this event, which make his whole family feel that they have “one love, one dream, and one home” with Yangzhou and Child Welfare Institute.
Up to this point, the root-seeking event came to a successful conclusion, and the adoptive families will be returning their countries tomorrow.
